Beauty&Skincare HOLY GRAILS

October 6, 2017

Sharing today my HOLY GRAILS in the beauty world!  These aren't the trendy "right now" products that I'm loving this month-- these are the products that are always in my make-up bag or products that I've maybe swayed from and then always end up coming back to!

I am combination skin so there will be things in here for you oily ladies and the more dry!

1) Soap and Glory 'One Heck Of A Blot' Translucent Powder - $16

I have used this since they came out with it.  It keeps you SUPER matte but your skin still looks bright and not dried out.  I use it in my t-zone to set my cream products and it ALSO does a great job at keeping concealers from creasing under your eye.

BEST PART:  It's at Target. Grab it next time you're there-- which is probs tomorrow.  Let's be real.

2) Maybelline Super Stay 24 Hour Concealer - $8-$10

This one I've been using since it came out when I was in HIGHSCHOOL, YALL!  I always come back to this stuff for concealing blemishes and texture-- not under my eyes or as a brightening concealer, just for concealing imperfections on my skin.  It blends with my foundation SO well and it's not heavy.  It NEVER makes my skin look cakey around my blemishes or wherever I use it.

SAD PART:  They don't even make it anymore and I have to keep buying it from Amazon and random retailers who still carry it online.  They saaayyyyy that the Maybelline Better Skin concealer replaced it but it's not nearly the same.

BEST PART:  It's cheaper than it was in stores when you find it online and it's great!

3) Maybelline Falsies Mascara - $7

This has also become a staple in my make-up bag.  I literally always have a tube of this and even though I fall in love with other mascaras, I ALWAYS find myself just back to using this again!  I was on a Loreal Lash Paradise kick for a while but I'm loving my Falsies again, y'all! It's just GOOD.  Everything you want a mascara to do, it does.  Period.

4) Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation - $42

This one shocks me all the time.  I have tried SO MANY FOUNDATIONS and literally try new ones weekly.  I give every foundation I try (unless it's horrible) several days of wear and I have found some foundations that I absolutely love.  HOWEVER, it doesn't matter what I find, after a couple weeks I am always back to my ride or die-- Double wear.  IF YOU ARE OILY/COMBO skin.... this will be your fav foundation.  I have turned SO MANY friends and clients onto Double Wear and many don't turn back.  There are so many beautiful foundations out there, but I always circle back to Double Wear.

note: it is a full coverage foundation.  If you're looking for something more light-medium coverage, go with the Double Wear Light.  Same formula but not as heavy.  Incredible coverage, skin looks and feels gorgeous.

5)  Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray - $32

Best in the game at making your make-up last HOURS looking flawless and helping powders settle into skin to look more natural.  Been using it for probably 5 years now.  End of story.

Honorable mention:  Kat Von D Lock It Setting Spray-- also great, but I find my make-up settles a little quicker than with the All Nighter

6) Ardency Inn Modster EyeLiner in 'Black' - $20

THE ONLY eyeliner I've ever used on my top or bottom waterline that DOES NOT RUN OR MOVE WHATSOEVER.  When I wear it on my top waterline it doesn't even transfer to my bottom waterline after I blink.  Literally never found another eyeliner like it.  Been in my make-up bag for 2 years, it's not going anywhere!

7)  Alba Botanica Even Advanced Face Mask - $8

This is best for equaling out pigmentation and complexion.  If I have a break out and I have redness or red spots, this mask helps eliminate that redness and evens out my skintone.  I am not kidding y'all, the SECOND you wash it off your skin is VISIBLY toned and looks more even.  Try it, I'll wait, I'm not exaggerating at all!  It is amazing and so cheap as amazing as it is!

8) Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel - $14

Been using this face wash for Y E A R S.  It is gentle, but deep cleans and doesn't leave your skin dry.  I use different exfoliating washes in between but this is my every day holy grail.  It keeps my skin gently cleansed and doesn't do anything crazy.  It's clean and simple.

9) Benefit Hoola Bronzer - $29

Need I say more?  I, along with everyone else in the world, find this to be the best universal bronzer ever.  It's not too warm toned, not too cool toned, perfect for contouring or just warming up your face giving it that sunkissed glow.  It's matte so you're not a shimmery mess but it's not a dull matte, if that makes sense.  I have a lot of bronzers in my bag but this one has been my everyday King for years.

10)  Anastasia Brow Wiz/Definer - $21

Anastasia Brow products are by far the best ever.  They don't apply wax-y and they do. not. budge.  I can itch my brow and that ish is still there looking flawless.  The pigmentation is very natural.  No one stands up to her brow products and that's most beauty bloggers opinions!

11) NYX Butter Glosses - $5  (specifically in shade Fortune Cookie- the perfect natural nude)

These glosses are basically slightly pigmented chapsticks.  That's what they feel like!  Not sticky at ALL and so comfortable to wear!  The pigment doesn't stain your lips which I love and it adds just a wash of color with the perfect semi-gloss finish.  I've been using these for probably 6-7 years now and always have them in my bag.  Fortune Cookie is the shade I wear most!

12) MAC Blushes - $23  (personal fav shade : Melba)

MAC blushes are just SO GOOD.  They are pigmented but blend so well so you don't feel like a clown if youre a little heavy handed.  They look so natural on the skin and they give a perfect wash of color.  I've been using shade Melba on a day-to-day basis for years.  Not exaggerating.  It's my favorite universal blush shade but I own a ton of their blushes and they are all beautiful!  Plus, a little goes a long way so you rarely hit pan in these babies.

So, that's all I can think of for now!  Everything else I'm seeing, as I sit here with my makeup bag next to me, are things that I do love but that I just found the last couple months or could change!  The things I mentioned here are the things that never budge.

If you have any questions about any of these products, the best way to ever contact me for any advice or questions is on Instagram DM!  @Mandie_Waagner
